Call for research/analytical articles on public procurement
Democracy Plus (D+), under the project “Enhancing Transparency, Accountability, and Efficiency in Public Spending through Public Procurement in Kosovo,” funded by the European Union (EU), announces an open call for the writing of three (3) articles by three (3) researchers (including journalists) with experience in public procurement issues in Kosovo.
General Qualification Criteria:
- The researcher must have experience in writing investigative (analytical) articles in the area of public procurement;
- The article must focus on a specific tender with concrete and interesting findings; it should be investigative/analytical rather than a descriptive account of procedures;
- The topic of the article must not have been previously covered by any researcher, journalist, media outlet, or non-governmental organization;
- The proposed topic must be agreed upon with D+ before the researcher begins writing;
- The article should be between 1,000 and 1,500 words and written in the Albanian language.
Application Procedure:
- CV
- Two previous samples of writing in the field of public procurement
- The researcher should submit two (2) topic proposals with a brief elaboration how the article will be developed, to the email address [email protected] by 28.02.2025.
Duration:
- The draft article should be submitted within 20 days from the selection of the topic in collaboration with D+.
- The final article should be submitted 10 days after receiving comments from D+ on the draft.
Remuneration:
- Upon approval of the article by D+ and the EU, the researcher will receive a remuneration of 476.19 EUR (gross). D+ will sign a service contract with the engaged researcher for this purpose.
