Discussion with the business community about the challenges in providing administrative services

29.10.2024

From bureaucracy to the need for digitalizing administrative services, these are pressing issues that must be addressed to pave the way for a simpler and more efficient business environment in Kosovo.

We held a meeting with representatives of businesses and the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce to discuss the bureaucratic challenges and obstacles that businesses face in their daily operations.

The purpose of this meeting was to prioritize the simplification and digitalization of certain administrative services identified by business representatives, as part of the Program for Preventing and Reducing Administrative Burden.

The discussion led to concrete recommendations, which will serve the Office for Strategic Planning in the Office of the Prime Minister, as the coordinator of the process to reduce administrative burdens, as well as other institutions such as: Tax Administration of Kosovo, Customs, Kosovo Business Registration Agency, Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, Independent Commission for Mines and Minerals, municipalities, and public enterprises.

This activity is supported by the EU Office in Kosovo, within the project “Promoting Fair Administrative Procedures for Citizens and Businesses.”
