Democracy Plus began the implementation of the project “Empowering Youth to Support Local Governments Through Internship Programs”.

D+ will work with 16 AKT partner municipalities: Gračanica/Graçanicë, Klokot/Kllokot, Novo Brdo/Novobërdë, Parteš/Partesh, Ranilug/Ranillug, Štrpce/Shtërpcë, Gjilan/Gnjilane, Istog/Istok, Pejë/Peć, Severna Mitrovica/Mitrovica e Veriut, Leposavić/Leposaviq, ZubinPotok/Zubin Potok, Zvečan/Zveçan, Vushtrri/Vučitrn, Klina, and Obiliq/Obilić, to place students or recent graduates in municipal departments for paid internships.

Part of this project is the Skills Development Program where interested young people from all communities in the target municipalities, will be prepared for career development.

16 interns will be placed in municipal departments for a two-month assignment, where they will have the chance to learn about how their municipalities work and support them to increase transparency and accountability.

D+ will soon open the call for applications for the program, for students and recent graduates.
